We are so chuffed to announce that Rory's little brother Finley has arrived safely into the world. It's of course an extremely bittersweet time for us all, but he's beautiful, healthy and awesome.
Our broken hearts will never be healed, but Finley has most certainly begun to weld them back together. We can't wait to teach him all about his big brother.
AUGUST 2020
As we approach Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we're delighted to share two pieces of news with you! First up: Amy's godmother's daughter Galina made some dinosaur face masks throughout August in aid of Rory's CCLG fund. She made and sold 45 masks and raised an amazing total of £315! And she's only 13! Thank you Galina and thank you to everyone who bought a mask 🦕
Secondly, we're very excited to announce that we have a new event on Rory's fundraising calendar! Amy's friend Isaac is running the Mudnificent on 26 September in aid of Rory's CCLG fund. That's 7km of gruelling, muddy obstacles - oof.... Click here to read more and donate to Isaac's page.
JULY 2020
We are so over the moon to announce that Rory is getting a little brother later this year. His greatest legacy yet. Both the children's hospital and the maternity units are being amazing and so supportive. And we're very grateful that our bodies (and minds) have allowed us to make this happen. There isn't enough out there with regards to pregnancy after loss in general, let alone specifically pregnancy following the loss of a baby or child to cancer. Once we've got a bit more time and space to reflect on this journey of highs and lows, we're hoping to put something out there that might help the next parents of a Rory hoping to carry on their family. In the meantime we're just crossing our fingers that everything will be ok for this little pickle!
